The Sky Structures series began by accident while doing visual research on synthetic vs. organic environments and playing with image manipulation of the architectural structures I had captured. Being both an avid fan of science fiction and an ardent explorer of my own subconscious, I found the process unmooring these buildings from their unwavering earthly sense of reality, to a bit of pure delight. The result has been an ongoing collection of dreamy monoliths that I have freed from gravity and suspended in perpetual flight.
