INSIDES

Selected Photographs

In this land of insides,
I noticed, one day, a thing that had always been;
Little moments of light finding their way in.
Sliding through Persian blinds to fall softly on the walls.
Bending through half drunk glasses of water to display their plumage.
Flickering in the fleeting shadows like tender wings.

Behold these little moments;
Collected like stars in a jar.
Each an effortless and graceful gift.
Each a reminder that,
In this year bound to within places,
There are wordless, dancing shapes which come in,
Unbidden and brilliant.
To illuminate the way back out,
Into the world,
Again.
