DIGI-KADO
Series

Ikebana (selected)

Sogetsu (selected)

Oshibana (selected)

Kado, the Japanese “way of the flower,” serves as the foundation for this project, encompassing both traditional and experimental approaches to floral arrangement. Within this lineage, Ikebana emerges as the direct practice of Kado’s guiding principles, Sogetsu reimagines those principles through a more avant-garde lens, and Oshibana extends the practice into the art of pressed flowers.

These three modes are presented here in digital form, where images of flowers are trimmed, rearranged, and recomposed to highlight not only their intricate beauty but also their boundless potential as shape and color. By carrying Kado into the digital realm, each work becomes both a meditation on the sacred life of the flower and an exploration of how technology can renew its possibilities.
